Even the momentary ecstasies that also arise in such spaces cannot be allowed to be coopted by colonialist structures for purposes of propaganda. Now, when a person who idolizes the Thatcher who said “There is no alternative” has been elected head of the party in power, isn’t it time for us to build alternatives – worlds where we don’t close our eyes to the violence of capital – just like the ravers of the past?
