They have since been consistently touring the west coast, performing their ever shifting setlist at venues and festivals big and small. Written across Seattle and Portland and brought to life in Los Angeles, Small Shake’s debut EP Platonics was released in August 2025 and saw critical support from the likes of NPR, The FADER, KEXP, Northern Transmissions, Atwood Magazine & more. Nate Terepka: Nate Terepka is a Portland-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist blending hypnotic psychedelia with deeply personal songwriting. Formerly the co-frontman of Brooklyn’s Zula - praised by Stereogum for their “unwillingness to abide by any particular genre conventions” - Terepka builds intricate, playful arrangements that stay rooted in emotional clarity. His music pairs adventurous textures and trance-like rhythms with lyrics and vocals that feel direct and intimate, evoking the spirit of classic singer-songwriters while exploring unconventional forms.
