w/ Small Shake & Nate Terepka
!mindparade:
!mindparade blends elements of art rock, psychpop, and experimentalism. Based in Portland, Oregon, songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Alex Arnold collaborates with friends to flesh out the project's kaleidoscopic tunes, often utilizing lush string sections and expansive synth explorations. Their music has been described as “an ambitious low-fi bedroom symphony marked by flourishing psychedelic arrangements” (NUVO) and "a perfect slice of what’s best in Oregon Pop Music." (Oregon Arts Watch)
In 2020, the group founded their own label, Neon Underground Archives, releasing the art-rock leaning "Hypertonic" (2020), 24-minute ambient/experimental piece "Skyscapia" (2023) and orchestrated freak-folk record "ekopsuƨqoʞɘ" (2025). They have since been consistently touring the west coast, performing their ever shifting setlist at venues and festivals big and small.
Small Shake:
Coupling tender indie rock with stuck-in-your-head pop melodies, LA-via-Seattle artist Small Shake explores the corners of quiet human experience: the pain of platonic heartbreak, the anxiety of social gatherings, the joy of building community.
After years working behind the scenes in the music industry, Small Shake was born from a newfound confidence and a life-long desire to create. The moniker of artist Aarin Wright, her songs are brought to life through vulnerable yet witty, observational lyrics and a deep love of 2010s alternative radio, '70s singer-songwriters, and Y2K pop mainstream.
Written across Seattle and Portland and brought to life in Los Angeles, Small Shake’s debut EP Platonics was released in August 2025 and saw critical support from the likes of NPR, The FADER, KEXP, Northern Transmissions, Atwood Magazine & more.
Nate Terepka:
Nate Terepka is a Portland-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist blending hypnotic psychedelia with deeply personal songwriting. Formerly the co-frontman of Brooklyn’s Zula - praised by Stereogum for their “unwillingness to abide by any particular genre conventions” - Terepka builds intricate, playful arrangements that stay rooted in emotional clarity. His music pairs adventurous textures and trance-like rhythms with lyrics and vocals that feel direct and intimate, evoking the spirit of classic singer-songwriters while exploring unconventional forms.
