Description
Future Joy Future Joy is the vibrant power couple of Emily Cooper and Zach Simms, a genre-blending, high-energy fusion of DJ performance and live instrumentation. Hailing from both Denver, CO, and St. Petersburg, FL, they’ve been igniting and uniting dance floors and festival stages for years. Combining the best of Funk, House, Bass, Pop, Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Techno, Jazz, Dubstep, and beyond, Future Joy delivers a boundary-breaking sound that turns every set into an explosive, joyful experience. Both members sing, DJ, and play keys, while Zach brings an extra blast of energy on tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones. Future Joy has brought their sonic celebration to iconic festivals like Bonnaroo, Hulaween, Treefort, Elements, Secret Dreams, Oregon Country Fair, Resonate, Joshua Tree Music Festival, and Memphis RiverBeat, among many others. They’ve shared the stage as direct support for artists such as The Polish Ambassador, Moon Hooch, BoomBox, SunSquabi, Manic Focus and Marvel Years. Their love runs deep through the music, fully realized in their debut full-length studio album, NOW, released in 2025 and already gaining international recognition. As Your EDM puts it, “Together, they create music that elevates the soul, soothes the heart and eases the mind. Their music is filled with whimsy, unfiltered authenticity and pure bliss.” At its core, Future Joy is about connection, community, sonic exploration and FUN! Their mission? To spread joy through music, one dance floor at a time.
Michael Wilbur of Moon Hooch Michael Wilbur is an acclaimed American multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and vocalist, widely recognized for his powerful voice on the Bass and Tenor Saxophones. Based in Western Massachusetts, Michael is now focused on his fast-rising solo career—an expansive project that fuses electronic music, jazz, experimental hip-hop, and raw improvisation into a genre-defying sound all his own. A graduate of The New School’s jazz program in New York City, Michael first gained international recognition as a co-founder of Moon Hooch, a band known for transforming subway platforms into dance floors with its explosive blend of jazz and EDM. He later co-founded Thundersmack, pushing sonic boundaries even further. Now, Michael’s solo work takes center stage—bold, personal, and boundaryless. His music has been featured in international media, licensing placements, and live performances around the globe. A dedicated vegan and environmental advocate, Michael integrates sustainability into both his art and lifestyle, aligning his values with his creative output. He also shares his knowledge through music lessons and speaking engagements, including TEDx appearances. Whether on stage or in the studio, Michael Wilbur continues to evolve, driven by a mission to inspire, innovate, and challenge conventions in sound and in life.
