Both members sing, DJ, and play keys, while Zach brings an extra blast of energy on tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones. Michael Wilbur of Moon Hooch Michael Wilbur is an acclaimed American multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and vocalist, widely recognized for his powerful voice on the Bass and Tenor Saxophones. Based in Western Massachusetts, Michael is now focused on his fast-rising solo career—an expansive project that fuses electronic music, jazz, experimental hip-hop, and raw improvisation into a genre-defying sound all his own. A graduate of The New School’s jazz program in New York City, Michael first gained international recognition as a co-founder of Moon Hooch, a band known for transforming subway platforms into dance floors with its explosive blend of jazz and EDM. He later co-founded Thundersmack, pushing sonic boundaries even further. Now, Michael’s solo work takes center stage—bold, personal, and boundaryless. His music has been featured in international media, licensing placements, and live performances around the globe. A dedicated vegan and environmental advocate, Michael integrates sustainability into both his art and lifestyle, aligning his values with his creative output. He also shares his knowledge through music lessons and speaking engagements, including TEDx appearances.
