Founded in 2011 alongside BandWagon Magazine, the organization has been instrumental in spotlighting both local talent and nationally touring acts. Today, BandWagon books concerts and comedy shows at more than a dozen venues across Colorado and Wyoming, while continuing to publish its monthly music magazine in print and online at bandwagmag.com. The Black Buzzard The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver is a music venue born out of a drink and a conversation about the old Denver music scene. Created by Kellner Schoenke at their Longmont restaurant, The Black Buzzard drink fused bacon-infused bourbon and ten fidy imperial stout. Chef and Oskar Blues fooderies partner, Jason Rogers, shared a sip with Kellner, and they realized they had both frequented the same closed blues bar on 16th and Market Street, Brendan's. Years later, Brendan's became available, and it seemed like the perfect time to put some music back into the heart of LoDo. They named the venue after the drink that started it all.
