About Tata Sherise
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube
TaTa Sherise is a South Jersey-born comedian, actor, and creative force whose quick wit and magnetic stage presence have made her a rising star in comedy. From a young age, she used humor to light up every room, later earning a degree in Public Relations and Radio/TV Broadcasting from Rider University before pursuing acting in Philadelphia. After facing personal hardships—including the loss of her father and her mother’s battle with addiction—she discovered stand-up comedy as both therapy and calling. Since stepping onto the Philly comedy scene in 2017, TaTa has transformed her struggles into high-energy, relatable performances that blend charm, physical comedy, and raw honesty.
Over the past eight years, TaTa has become a fixture on stages across the U.S., performing alongside top comedians and regularly headlining venues like Helium Comedy Club Philadelphia, Punch Line Philly, and The Stand NYC. Her talent has earned her major recognition, including “Creator to Watch” at the 2023 New York Comedy Festival and “Comic to Watch” in 2024. She has appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, Facebook TV’s Mastery of Comedy, and co-created Girls Got Giggles, a comedy brand and podcast with Andrea “Drizz” Lewis. Named “The Hottest Comedian to Come Out of Philly” by The Philadelphia Inquirer, TaTa also made history in 2024 as the first Black woman to win Philly’s Phunniest Competition. Whether on stage, on screen, or behind the mic, TaTa Sherise continues to inspire and entertain with every laugh.
