Description
Polygonia makes her debut at the club with a headlining set at Wrecked. One of the unmissable voices in deep, hypnotic techno, Polygonia has distinguished herself with a growing catalog of completely immersive, mesmerizing productions. Releases on Dekmantel, Midgar, Mule Musiq and other landmark labels all are animated by exceptional craft in service of a genuinely psychedelic experience. A recent collaboration with Rrose is an indelible meeting of the minds, while her “Dream Horizons” album pushes the tempos into dnb territory. Polygonia’s fearless searching and febrile imagination are working in elegant tandem; this is an artist coming into her peak powers. threehz traverses similar paths of spiraling, lysergic techno. Across their tenure in the NY underground, threehz has moved from deep, subliminal vibrations to out-and-out warp-drive insanity. They make their BASEMENT debut. Ron Like Hell completes the trifecta. Need we say more? One of the best and most unique selectors in the US today, Ron’s capacity to steer a dancefloor into a wormhole is unparalleled.
T.Wan returns to Wrecked to extend the trippiness to STUDIO. The Antidote co-founder harnesses a mixture of laid back chillout, heaving dubstep, echo-drenched house and verdant electro. She’s a key name in the city’s most forward-thinking corners, leading the charge with a vision of music in balance with community, political action and ethical transparency. Her sets at Wrecked are consistent standouts. Ryan Smith matches the vision with an expansive view of house that stretches from the lush to the punkish. In a crowded field, Smith stands out as an artist who’s both steadfast and in constant evolution.
