ABOUT FLUID SESSIONS:
For 15 years, Public Works has been a gathering point for San Francisco’s music community. This fall, we open a new chapter with Fluid Sessions, a Thursday series designed to move freely across the full spectrum of club culture. Each night will highlight sounds that blur boundaries—techno, house, bass, and everything in between—brought together under one roof pushed by Bay Area tastemakers.
Fluid Sessions debut features Toronto artist Chippy Nonstop, known for her genre-shifting energy and unapologetic presence behind the decks. Expect an atmosphere where every week feels distinct, yet the pulse of the room stays constant. This series is our way of honoring the roots of the underground while carving space for its future. It’s about celebrating diversity, risk-taking, and the raw spirit that keeps our dance floor alive. Whether a longtime regular or a first-time guest, Fluid Sessions invites you to be part of the Public Works story. This is a community in motion.
CHIPPY NONSTOP BIO:
Chippy Nonstop got her name for a reason. She is an audacious, undeniable party starter with a penchant for travelling the world and always bringing her unique energy.
As a sound selector she makes the dance floor shake, but there’s much more to the story. Chippy is a DJ, rapper, songwriter, writer, producer, activist and organizer of community events. She is of Indian descent, but is more of a cultural nomad; she was born in Dubai, grew up in Zambia, has citizenship in Canada, lived in Los Angeles, Oakland, New York, and currently resides in Toronto after a very public deportation; (Fader’s coverage here). Chippy Nonstop is currently working on new music-related endeavors including a project called ‘Intersessions’, a sound initiative curated by and for women & the LGBTQ+ community. Chippy strives for balanced representation in music by producing these global workshop.
