Description
Want to experience the next big thing in Sydneys alternative and indie rock scene? Then look no further than First Timers!
Sydney bands Rudy Meant, The Array and INDIANNA are just 3 of the many incredible bands coming out of the Contemporary Music course at the Sydney Conservatorium. First Timers is a Contemporary Students Association organised gig which aims to show our incredibly talented and unique cohort to the Sydney music scene and support our bands in their early days.
Rudy Meant
Rudy Meant is a band made up of students who have met in both high school and university. They draw heavy inspiration from indie rock acts of the 90s and 2000s. Their music can be described as sentimental and mellow at times, yet also biting and deeply personal.
The Array
The Array is an indie/alternative pop band with influences from folk music and South American sounds. Formed by second-year Con students, from different backgrounds, the band’s sound is fresh and vulnerable in its essence, providing a performance style that’s dynamic, intimate and raw.
INDIANNA
From a little village surrounded by bushland, Indianna wrote in amongst the trees where it was quiet. There she found a path bursting with flowers. Sometimes they shared their beauty, other times their thorns. Harmony. Discord. This was the way of wild things.
We acknowledge that this event is held on the stolen lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
