During this moment of great uncertainty, we're hosting Angry Hour™: The Happy Hour for Pissed-Off Optimists in Chicago! Who's a Pissed-Off Optimist? Anyone who can tell that the world is broken but still holds hope that we can repair it. At a time like this, we know it's more important than ever to be together.
Building community happens one gathering at a time, so join Greater Good Studio for this in-person after-work event to connect. Perhaps you'll meet a new collaborator. Or a new hire for your organization. Or just someone to laugh, cry, and/or shake your fist at the sky with.
Your purchase includes a drink ticket for a beer or non-alcoholic drink at the bar. The proceeds (after taxes, fees, and other event-related expenses) will be donated to two local organizations who are fighting to keep Chicago a safe and welcoming city for all immigrants. The first is Organized Communities Against Deportation (OCAD), a group of undocumented, unapologetic, and unafraid organizers building a resistance movement against deportation and the criminalization of immigrants and people of color in Chicago and surrounding areas. The second is Enlace Chicago, who has been a cornerstone of the Little Village community for over 35 years, championing opportunities, improving lives, and partnering for change. We do this by advancing health, protecting rights, empowering futures, building peace, and fostering resilience for the residents in our community.
We can't wait to see you!
