Our focus is on fostering the precious bonds between children ages 0-7 and their grown-ups, equitable access to rich early literacy experiences, cultural competence, and inclusive environments for all families. Alyssa Jewell, MLIS, also known as La La Librarian, is a musician, storytime expert, mom, and the founder of Storytime Central, a curated resource community for storytime professionals. In addition to an MLIS, Alyssa holds a BA in Theatre Education, along with a K-12 teaching certification, has co-written three musicals for young audiences, adapted bestselling authors’ books into songs and stage productions, and is the author of Move, Play, Learn: Interactive Storytimes with Music, Movement, and More (ALA Editions, 2019) and the singable children’s book The Apple Song (F-Flat Books, 2026.)
