@akaMRdickerson and Heavy Waste are back for more at Good Room!
Good Room:
Justin Cudmore headlines the main room. The Brooklyn-based producer and DJ’s sound is defined by snaking acid lines, whip smart drums, and offbeat rave melodies that have resonated with DJs and dancers from Detroit to Berlin. Justin is the creator of the Balance resident party at Basement in New York and Revival at Public Records with Hue Hallums. He also runs Major Records with The Carry Nation and Mike Servito. Frequently booked at parties like The Carry Nation, Horse Meat Disco, Honcho, and beyond, he is not one to be missed.
okocz returns to the main room for warm up duty. The enigma’s close out set of our third edition was so well received we couldn’t wait to get him back. Expect a wide reaching set to kick off the night and set the tone.
Rich King takes us home till the lights come on. Rich enjoys a loyal following of diverse music lovers looking to shimmy shake into the morning, noon and night. All Vinyl, all the time, Contemporary to Classic, House to Disco, Funk to Far Out, Dad’s Got Range.
Bad Room:
Ron Like Hell plays Bad Room at peak time. The fully dedicated life long DJ produces queer centered events in NYC both solo and as part of the DJ duo Wrecked. A highly respected genre-spanning selector, and known community supporter, Ron’s eclectic taste and room reading skills have gained them recognition and respect from some of the world's best parties and venues. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch Ron at Panorama Bar, Lab.oratory and Ost (Berlin), Dekmantel Selectors, Draaimolen (Netherlands), Sustain-Release, Honcho Campout, Basement, or Nowadays (just to name a few…) you might have an idea what’s in store.
Heavy Waste resident Skoglund gets Bad Room running. The New York based DJ, producer and live performer, is known for his heavy, raw, and hypnotic sound. His sets are a journey with ebb and flow, moving through long-form transitions informed by his love for vinyl.
Closing out is threehz, who explores the emotive sides of techno, experimental, and ambient music for every performance, taking inspiration from sludgy dark psychedelia to pulsing warpdrive drum tracks. Whether rinsing healing or destructive frequencies, as their namesake suggests, threehz knows how to craft textured, curated soundscapes which can be heard at multiple event series’ in NYC and residencies for The Lot Radio.
$15 in advance.
$20 at the door.
