Letters to your future self. After a sold out show at Melbourne International Film Festival, join host Claudia Nankervis at The Brunswick Ballroom for a night of storytelling. Backyard Stories began in 2019 under a leaky marquee in our Carlton sharehouse backyard. Each event centres around a single word - the theme for the night - and features a curated line-up of storytellers who write and then read a story. It began as an intimate night in our concrete backyard, and is now held regularly at the Brunswick Ballroom. There have been iterations in New York, Amsterdam and London, and features in the Festival Club line up every year at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. The show is recorded live for the Backyard Stories podcast, creating an archive of funny, moving and unforgettable tales. Grab a drink, take a seat, and enjoy the show. TICKETING INFO Please have a digital or printed copy of your ticket ready on arrival along with a valid photo ID. Acceptable ID includes a current and valid Australian Photo Drivers Licence, State Approved ‘Proof of Age’ card or Passport.
