The masked collective Rave Racers brings back the Rave Racers Grandprix, landing at Shibuya’s iconic WOMB for its 2025 edition. Led by JUBEE—a member of the acclaimed hip-hop crew Creative Drug Store—Rave Racers is a dance music project widely credited for sparking the Y2K culture revival. As a top runner in the Shibuya street scene, JUBEE sets the stage for this massive annual event, now confirmed to take place at one of Tokyo’s most renowned nightclubs. On the 1st floor, BAKU—a turntablist/producer/DJ who founded the independent label KAIKOO in 2020 and continues to lead the Japanese hip-hop scene—joins the lineup. Also appearing are SAMO and kengotaki of the Osaka-based crew FULLHOUSE, performing B2B. Rising star YUVIE, part of the younger FULLHOUSE generation, will also take the decks, along with ecec, who’s been lighting up massive events like ULTRA JAPAN, and singer-songwriter Meirin’s solo project ZOMBIE-CHANG, delivering a live set. On the 4th floor, expect a cutting-edge lineup: Licaxxx, founder of the independent platform Tokyo Community Radio spotlighting emerging Tokyo-based artists; okadada, a veteran known for everything from self-releases on maltine records and Bandcamp to appearances at both underground and major festivals; Yohji Igarashi, who has produced for rappers like JUBEE and HIYADAM, released a remix for Atarashii Gakkou on 88rising, and recently rocked the final night of Fuji Rock’s RED MARQUEE with Yuuki Segi; MoEPiKA, director of the vintage shop faith and a fashion-culture connector who also DJs; and EVE, founder of hard techno party/label VIXLATIXN, who has been featured on numerous international podcasts and is preparing for a US & Canada tour this August. The 2nd floor main room—the party’s central nervous system—will be headlined by Takkyu Ishino, a legendary figure in both solo work and as part of Denki Groove. Joining him is CYBER RUI, a standout from the 2021 edition of “Rap Star Tanjou,” and JUBEE himself, performing live as a multi-talented beatmaker/MC/rapper with a background in hip-hop and rock, known for blending music, fashion, and art without boundaries. Also featured are FUJI TRILL of OVER KILL, a fierce field-tested DJ with official releases via Hypnotize Minds and a reputation forged in his hometown of Yokosuka; genre-hopping selector FELINE, beloved for her flexibility and crowd control; and JUN INAGAWA, a neo-geek illustrator and DJ known for injecting bold creativity into the scene. And of course, the Rave Racers crew will also take the stage. With a full-spectrum lineup across all floors, satisfaction is guaranteed. Since bursting onto the club scene, Rave Racers has only grown in scale—and this Grandprix is set to be their biggest yet.
