**Uriel and Ikaros live at Eddie's Attic!**
Uriel UMC is a proud Mexican-American band producing a wide range of music from indie rock to cumbia. Taking inspiration from love stories and traditional Mexican storytelling, they bring smiles to faces and light up dancefloors.
Ikaros is a Mexican regional music group formed in Atlanta, GA, formed by two cousins Ray Mancillas (Singer and Requintero) and Saul Castaneda (Armonia and Segunda Voz) and is joined by multi instrumentalist Josue Carrizales. What started out as playing classic heartfelt corridos to their family at every cookout turned into a deep understanding of the power of music, and its ability to bring people closer to their heritage, family and with each other. Ikaros tells stories of love and heartbreak, friendship and betrayal, strength and confidence, and shame and regret. With complex arrangements and melodic finesse, Ikaros paints a detailed image of the human struggle that is familiar to the songs of old, yet innovative and fearless. Pushing boundaries is not just necessary to their sound but standard practice, a byproduct of their joy for playing and the complete surrender to it. It is felt and understood through their raw and powerful performances, the importance of vulnerability and its ability to connect and strengthen everyone. This is Ikaros' true strength and their limits are yet to be discovered.
Presented by Eddie's Attic.
This is an all ages event.
