Sadie Mustoe, a contemporary pop-indie-folk storyteller delivers visceral, imaginative lyricism combined with twisting melodies that immerse audiences in the world of a Melbourne-based young adult. With influences from folk, pop, classical, celtic and rock, Sadie creates something organic that is simultaneously electric and thought-provoking.
The 2021 Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Youth Folk Artist of the Year’ runner-up and Queenscliff Music Festival’s Foot-in-the-Door 2022 winner released her second EP titled “Shades of Yellow” in 2023, accompanied by a mini-tour in Melbourne. After coming back from a five month university music exchange in England, Sadie has just released her latest single “Power In This World”, challenging herself to share the whole recording experience with her 30 thousand TikTok followers.
“A joyously infectious slice of pop that will make you smile.” - Deborah Conway
“Sadie Mustoe is a rare talent. A brilliant musician and singer songwriter beyond her years! Sadie’s voice is like no other - hauntingly beautiful almost like our very own Joni Mitchell. '“ - Gina Jeffreys
“If Sadie Mustoe is the future of folk music, I’m sticking around. She is wise and worldly, skilful and sensitive.. anchored in feeling. Without attitude and affectation, she sings with a purity of expression that reaches me in the “feels””.- Fred Smith
Joined by Austyn Jane and Gracie Moore, this show is a coalescence of some of the best indie-folk Melbourne has to offer. Spend an afternoon basking in the lilting melodies and honest storytelling of these ones-to-watch.
