Zen/Echo presents their new, dancefloor-oriented event Echo Deck, with special guest **Intrusion** making his NYC debut. Intrusion is the solo project of Stephen Hitchell, best known as one half of the influential duo Echospace \[alongside Rod Modell of DeepChord\]. His 2007 album *The Coldest Season* on Modern Love became a landmark in ambient techno, earning “Album of the Year” accolades from over 40 publications and a spot on Resident Advisor’s “Best Albums of the Decade.” While Echospace has explored many sonic identities — cv313, phase90, soultek, variant — Intrusion represents some of his most emotionally-resonant and dub-forward material to date, blending modular synthesis, reel-to-reel tape techniques, live instrumentation, and haunting vocal performances from Tikiman \[Paul St. Hilaire\] of Rhythm & Sound fame. His debut album, *The Seduction Of Silence* has just been re-released on 2xLP with a second edition dropping the week of his debut NYC performance. Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
