This iteration of our Label Night zones in on Omnidisc, the Miami label run by Danny Daze. Danny’s sets sit perfectly at the intersection of the cheeky, low-swung, and psychedelic - he’s a DJ for the heads, with deft technique and deep selections, but he doesn’t shy away from a moment of levity and silliness. His label, Omnidisc, reflects that ethos, with releases from artists ranging from Jonny From Space to Wata Igarashi to newly minted Nowadays resident RHR, who’ll be joining the lineup for this label night. Influenced by the raucous rhythms and powerful percussion of the São Paulo ghettos, RHR has been quietly honing his craft as a producer and DJ in Brazil since 2010. Since breaking out into the international scene a couple of years ago, Roni has blown minds at some of the world’s most notorious clubs and festivals with a head, razor sharp mixture of techno, bass, dancehall, electro and baile funk that honors the raw spirit of his hometown. With plenty more new music in the works and head full of creative ideas when he gets behind the decks, RHR is establishing himself a unique talent capable of pulling off everything, without giving up anything. /// RSVP is $10 before 11pm and $15 before midnight.
