7:30 - Monotronic
Originally formed in New York City, Monotronic seamlessly bridges the worlds of indie rock, pop, and indietronica. Drawing stylistic inspiration from artists like Phoenix and The Killers, Monotronic infuses their sound with distinctive world music influences, carving out a unique musical identity that stands apart.
Imagine an intrepid backpacker, driven by an adventure-seeking spirit, returning to the bustling streets of New York City after nearly a decade of globe-trotting—exploring the jungles of Sumatra and the vibrant landscapes of India—only to channel those experiences into groundbreaking music. That’s the essence of Monotronic: genre-defying, impossible to categorize, yet unmistakably unified by the creative vision of its founder.
At the helm is Ramsey Elkholy, an anthropologist, musician, and producer whose global perspective and artistic sensibilities breathe life into Monotronic’s dynamic sound. Now based in LA, Elkholy and his eclectic collective of musicians combine dancefloor-ready grooves with masterful instrumentation and eloquent songwriting, earning a reputation as both enigmatic and innovative since their debut in 2019.
Monotronic’s rotating ensemble boasts an impressive pedigree, featuring musicians who have shared stages or studio sessions with legends like Daft Punk, Joe Jackson, Chic, Robert Randolph, The Spin Doctors, and Dweezil Zappa. The band has captivated audiences at iconic New York City venues and festivals, including Disc Jam and Meeting of the Minds. Following their 2019 self-titled debut album, Monotronic garnered acclaim from notable publications such as Rolling Stone, Relix, Rock Cellar, and Hype Magazine.
8:20 - The Last Slice
When the illustrious, cosplaying guitar content creator Kyle Norris was picking up steam on social media, he knew he needed an original band. Formed in the summer of 2024 in Los Angeles, The Last Slice is currently on its way to become a new powerhouse of alternative hard rock fusion. This is accomplished by the ferocity and clever wordplay found in lead vocalist Allen Rose, complemented by the driving, relentless riffs found in the rhythm section where everyone has their memorable moments. Their newly released debut self-titled EP, "The Last Slice", shows the versatility and hunger of the group to not sound like the rest.
9:15 - Postcards For Sympathy
Postcards For Sympathy delivers a sound that captures the golden glow of early 2010s indie alt-pop, almost like it was sun-dipped on a summer weekend. Blending the edge of alternative rock with the shimmer of anthemic pop melodies, every track feels like a breakout moment. With a stage presence as electric as their sound, this rising California quartet continues to captivate crowds and leave a lasting impression till the last note.

11:05 - Boys in ShortsBlending visceral melodies with raw lyrical vulnerability, Boys in Shorts has carved out a space in the Southern California indie rock scene.
Formed in 2020 in Orange County, CA, Boys in Shorts fuses the introspective energy of bands like Weezer and the 1975 with the sonic bite of the Killers and Turnstile. The six-piece band is known for its gripping and bombastic live performances and genre-bending sound.
With 2 EP's, 2 singles, and their first LP dropping at the end of 2025, the six-piece band has built a solid local following over the last 5 years by performing at premiere venues in both OC and LA, such as Whisky A Go Go, The Troubadour, and House of Blues Anaheim.
Drawing inspiration from their own personal experiences, the band explores themes of love, empathy, relationships, and modern disillusionment. "I'd describe us as 'I don't want to be apathetic anymore' suburban alt," says band member Ernie Figueroa.
