Description
EZ Band’s story begins with Agustin, Jaime’s father, who laid the foundation for the group’s passion for music by singing on buses in Mexico. Accompanied by Nacho on the accordion, Agustin would travel around Mexico, playing music on buses to make a living and share their art with passengers. At the age of 17, Agustin learned to play the bajosexto from Atilano Ochoa of Los Montañeses del Alamo, deepening his connection to the rich musical traditions that would later shape EZ Band. He passed down his love for music to his family, shaping the path that led to the formation of the band.
Originally known as Viento Norteño, the band was started by Agustin, alongside Jaime’s uncle Niko and Kiko. These early years marked the beginning of a journey rich in tradition and dedication. The band evolved through name changes and new members, becoming Rebelde Norteño when Jaime’s brother Aldo joined on accordion. This period of growth and transformation highlighted the band’s focus on developing a dynamic sound.
