About Huffamoose
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify | Apple Music
Known for quirky, abstract, and eccentric songs, Philadelphia alternative rockers Huffamoose have enjoyed an enthusiastic cult following since the early '90s. The uncompromising band was formed in 1992 when singer Craig Elkins joined forces with guitarist Kevin Hanson, bassist Jim Stager, and drummer Erik Johnson. The Huffamoose rockers, all of whom had been music majors at Philly's Temple University, recorded their self-titled debut album for the 7 label in 1993. By 1997, Huffamoose was signed to Interscope; Although 1997's "We've Been Had Again" (Huffamoose's second album) received its share of favorable coverage, with its hit single "Wait", reaching 34 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts in 1998. Interscope ended up dropping them (and many other artists) from their roster to focus on the hip-hop market. Huffamoose released "I Wanna Be Your Pants" on Shanachie Records in 2000. After playing random reunion shows over the years Huffamoose was brought back together in 2018 by label President John Fisher to produce “... and That’s When the Golf Ball hit Me in the Head” on Winding Way Records. This latest release has some deep listening tracks worthy of a relaxing Sunday afternoon in 2021 under a sunnier sky.

Dave Cope is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer with deep roots in the Philadelphia music scene. Creating in a wide range of genres including power pop, folk, R&B and classical, he has amassed a large catalog of original music. Some of Dave’s music has been featured in various TV and film projects such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+, Manhunt on Apple tv and the Fox Searchlight production Patti Cake$.
Cope started singing in the choir of his local church and began teaching himself guitar at the age of twelve. By age fourteen he was playing in his first band covering songs by Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Despite being admitted to numerous highly esteemed conservatories he would forsake the career path of a classical tenor choosing to focus more on a life of creation and self expression in multiple musical genres.
