**Ches Smith** celebrates the release of *Clone Row*, out on Otherly Love Records. The album debuts an adventurous new quartet featuring guitarists Mary Halvorson and Liberty Ellman and bassist Nick Dunston. “This definitely ain’t your father’s guitar band,” writes no less an expert on six-string subversion than Marc Ribot, who penned the album’s liner notes. “It’s as if I’m hearing a Jim Hall concert in which one of us did a lot of mushrooms, or… some post-punk post-Dave Brubeck post-trip-hop experiment with classical form.” Smith’s good friends will be on hand: a “super trio” of **Tomeka Reid**, **Craig Taborn**, and **Ikue Mori**; and a “super soloist,” renowned guitarist **Brandon Seabrook**, will play a set each. \- Adjacent to The Sound Room, The Atrium at Public Records is a plant-based restaurant + cocktail bar serving a globally-inspired collection of dishes, operating Wed–Sat 6–11 pm and Sat–Sun 11–4 pm.
