Karyn Ann - Live in Concert with Special Guests: Wes Watkins, Joe Sampson, Deva Yoder
Once described as a “combination of Patty Griffin grit and Amy Winehouse grace” by American Songwriter, Portland-based singer-songwriter Karyn Ann has been charming audiences across the US for over a decade with her own brand of Soulful Americana. With a voice that’s equal parts church bell and bourbon barrel and a gut-punching grit reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt or Grace Potter, Karyn Ann sings both revenge and redemption, winding her way with unflinching honesty through the stories that define us.
She’s shared stages with artists such as Chris Isaak, Oliver Wood (of The Wood Brothers), Courtney Marie Andrews, and Seth Walker, and has been nationally recognized at such festivals as the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival (CO), Red Ants Pants Music Festival (MT), and Tucson Folk Festival (AZ), as well as regional festivals like Oregon Country Fair and Portland's own annual Folk Festival.
Ann's latest release, Big Money, Deep Pockets, is a soulful anthem—a modern-day "We Didn't Start the Fire"—addressing the pressing environmental and socio-political challenges of our time. Touching on issues from the ongoing climate crisis, social justice movements, and the fight for equality, Ann boldly melds heartfelt artistry with a call to action. Big Money, Deep Pockets is more than just a song—it's a movement.

The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver is a music venue born out of a drink and a conversation about the old Denver music scene. Created by Kellner Schoenke at their Longmont restaurant, The Black Buzzard drink fused bacon-infused bourbon and ten fidy imperial stout. Chef and Oskar Blues fooderies partner, Jason Rogers, shared a sip with Kellner, and they realized they had both frequented the same closed blues bar on 16th and Market Street, Brendan's. Years later, Brendan's became available, and it seemed like the perfect time to put some music back into the heart of LoDo. They named the venue after the drink that started it all. Today, located blocks away from Coors Field and Union Station, The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver hosts buzz-worthy musicians of all genres from Denver and beyond.
