Matt Mason - Live in Concert
with Special Guests: Grayson Ratliff
Hailing from the heartland of Fairland, Indiana, Matt Mason has etched his name into the annals of country music history with a voice as authentic as the heartland itself. A seasoned singer-songwriter, Matt's rise to stardom has been a remarkable journey filled with triumphs and trials, but his unwavering passion for country music has always been at the forefront.
Born and raised in Fairland, Matt's journey began at Triton Central High School in Shelby County, Indiana. Surrounded by the sounds of traditional country music, he felt the pull of the genre from an early age. It was at eleven years old that Matt first picked up a guitar, setting in motion a lifelong dream of making music his profession. His destiny became clear during his teenage years when, at just sixteen, he had the honor of opening for the legendary Charlie Daniels in western Massachusetts.
Eager to chase his dreams, Matt wasted no time after graduating from high school in 2004. In a bold move, he packed his bags and made the pilgrimage to Nashville, Tennessee. Within three weeks of his arrival, he was already making a name for himself as a sought-after session musician and gracing live stages with his music.
In 2006, the world was introduced to Matt Mason through the hit show, Nashville Star, where he showcased his incredible talents and finished fourth. However, this period in his life was marked by a struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, which he courageously overcame. Matt's resilience and determination eventually led him to the crowning moment of his career when he emerged as the winner of CMT's Next Superstar in 2011.
Following his victory on Next Superstar, Matt Mason signed with Warner Records, a momentous milestone in his career. While anticipating the creation and release of a major-label album, he continued to tour and share his passion for music with fans. In 2012, he gifted the world with his EP, America's Favorite Pastime, a glimpse into the immense talent and potential that lay ahead.
In 2016, Matt made the bold decision to go fully independent, an admirable step that allowed him to explore his creative freedom while nurturing his growing family. After nearly a decade away from the spotlight, Matt Mason made a triumphant return in 2024, armed with new music and a story that inspires us all.
Matt Mason's journey is a testament to the resilience and unwavering spirit of a true country music artist. His talent, determination, and genuine love for the genre have set him on an extraordinary path that continues to captivate audiences, making him a cherished figure in the world of country music. Get ready for what's to come as Matt Mason's story is far from over.

The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver is a music venue born out of a drink and a conversation about the old Denver music scene. Created by Kellner Schoenke at their Longmont restaurant, The Black Buzzard drink fused bacon-infused bourbon and ten fidy imperial stout. Chef and Oskar Blues fooderies partner, Jason Rogers, shared a sip with Kellner, and they realized they had both frequented the same closed blues bar on 16th and Market Street, Brendan's. Years later, Brendan's became available, and it seemed like the perfect time to put some music back into the heart of LoDo. They named the venue after the drink that started it all. Today, located blocks away from Coors Field and Union Station, The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues Denver hosts buzz-worthy musicians of all genres from Denver and beyond.
