Description
This September, two of Seattle’s most compelling musical voices will share an intimate bill UPSTAIRS at Brooklyn’s Public Records. On September 17, 2025, **Jenn Champion** and **Tiny Vipers** \[Jesy Fortino\] will bring their singular visions to a rare joint performance — an evening of introspective soundscapes, ghostly melodies, and emotionally-resonant songwriting. With limited capacity, this show promises to be an unforgettable, up-close experience with two of the Pacific Northwest’s most enigmatic and influential artists.
Jenn Champion, known for her role in the cult indie band Carissa’s Wierd and her lauded solo work under the moniker ‘S’, has long been a beacon of vulnerability and sonic evolution. Her work continues to push boundaries, and her recent single “Jessica” was spotlighted by *The New York Times* as one of the standout tracks of the year. Champion’s ability to transform raw emotion into shimmering indie-pop remains unmatched.
Sharing the bill is the elusive and haunting Tiny Vipers, the longtime project of Jesy Fortino. A master of minimalist, emotionally rich folk, Fortino’s work has spanned stark acoustic landscapes, experimental noise, and meditative ambient textures. Her early albums on Sub Pop, *Hands Across the Void* and *Life on Earth*, earned critical acclaim, and her most recent releases signal a return to acoustic intimacy. Her upcoming 2025 full-length, *Tormentor*, is among the year’s most anticipated.
This rare NYC appearance by both artists is more than a concert — it’s a communion of two powerful, enduring voices whose music continues to resonate in quiet, unforgettable ways.
