Description
Join us for Rafael Pondé's album release party and live concert celebrating The Brazilian Reggae Experience Vol. 2!
We're celebrating Rafael Pondé's new album The Brazilian Reggae Experience Vol. 2 dropping on Friday July 11. Pre-save the album HERE.
Brazilian Reggae Experience Vol. 2 is Rafael Pondé’s ninth studio album and marks a new chapter in his career as his first to feature original songs in English.
Rooted in conscious music, the album is the result of Rafael’s journey into yoga and meditation. Its lyrics explore themes of self-confidence, self-realization, culture, joy, poetry, love, gratitude, and a deep connection to Mother Nature. This is music for the soul.
Recorded in both the United States (at The Music Company in Pacific Beach, CA) and Brazil throughout 2024, the album reflects the duality of Rafael’s life between two countries.
Produced and mixed by Rafael Pondé, the album includes co-production by DJ Caio Becker on the track “O Hippie,” which also features a posthumous appearance by Rafael’s brother, Thiago Pondé, who sadly passed in January 2025. The album includes contributions from renowned musicians such as Jon McKnight—keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist with reggae legends Barrington Levy and Fully Fullwood.
Rafael’s band, The Brazilian Reggae Experience, was founded in San Diego in 2022. The group features:
- Bob Lemos (Drums)
- Pati Miranda (Vocals)
- Pedro Oliveira (Bass)
- Rodrigo Mendonça (Horns)
- Rafa Reis (Accordion)
- Jon McKnight (Keys)
