Description
Silks -
Silks are a psychedelic alt-rock band pulling from pop, metal, neo soul, post-punk, and that song that’s stuck in your head. Silks’ music invites you to breathe in reverse, lubricate your eyes, and look directly into the sun.
Breaking away from recording their 2nd album, Silks are hitting the Garrison Stage for the first time to debut a visually immersive live show.
Opening the night are Toronto legends Dermabrasion (Body Horror Death-Rock) and Waxlimbs (Progressive Alt-Rock)
Dermabrasion -
Dermabrasion are a death rock band from so-called Toronto bringing drum machine-driven grooves influenced by hardcore, post-punk, heavy metal and existential foreboding. They released their debut album, Pain Behaviour, on Toronto's Hand Drawn Dracula Records in 2024.
Waxlimbs -
From solo beginnings in the Toronto and Montreal electronica scene, Waxlimbs has evolved into an ambitious 4-piece which connects the band’s distinctive theatricality with progressive rock and metal influences.
Waxlimbs has become known for their genre-leaping song structures, enveloping their alternative roots in dramatic art rock and balladry. Live, they perform in dramatic white masks with a reactive light show, both of which complement their unmistakable sound and leaves the audience fully immersed. Their design and approach is an exciting presence in the mainstream rock landscape, creating a welcoming space for the eccentric and open minded listener.
Presented by The Garrison.
