Description
**OCTOBR** has quietly become one of LA’s most essential new voices. She first turned heads with a sold-out debut at The Grove, a venue that has hosted early performances by artists like Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato . Since then, she’s continued to build momentum with sold-out shows alongside indie favorite Ellen Winter and the genre-blending Mario Why.
Often compared to Sade and Solange, OCTOBR crafts music for the sad, the existentially troubled, and the resolutely hopeful. A multi-instrumentalist, writer, and producer, her performances are both intimate and expansive, offering a sonic experience that resonates deeply.
On July 8th, OCTOBR plays their first show at Gold Diggers, sharing the night with Arizona’s favorites: Hyperbella and LA’s much beloved Elyp. It’s a night of reinvention, soul, and sonic depth you won’t want to miss!

Incessantly existential, Los Angeles-based **Elyp** is the dyslexic, brooding underbelly of an otherwise making face. Her music processes self-suppression and self-loathing by merging vintage and futuristic jazz sentiments. Elyp's music sounds akin to Sylvan Esso and Kimbra with vocal stylings similar to Fiona Apple.
**Hyperbella** is an intergalactic neo-soul duo from Phoenix, AZ. Composed of artists Cassidy Hilgers and Carly Bates, Hyperbella draws influence from Hiatus Kaiyote, Esperanza Spalding, Little Dragon, Lianne La Havas, and Radiohead, fusing complex harmonies with polyrhythmic textures and alternative jazz improvisation. They seek to capture relatable images and experiences within their lyrics and blend equal parts ethereal sounds with intense build-ups and breakdowns.
Presented by Gold-Diggers.
