Description
Club music wouldn’t exist without the Baltimore innovators of the late ‘90s who fused Chicago house, breakbeats, and hip-hop to create the electrifying bounce we all know and love today. In 2005, Rod Lee would help define Baltimore Club’s sound with one of the genre’s most recognizable hits, “Dance My Pain Away,” a cathartic cut that provided hope and unity amid the city’s harsh realities. Twenty years later, parties and artists across the East Coast are coming together at Brooklyn’s beloved Good Room to honor the anthem and Ballimore’s musical impact with none other than Rod Lee himself.
New York City’s HEADS KNOW, Baltimore-based Break A Leg, and Philadelphia party Bass Down Low present DANCE MY PAIN AWAY: an East Coast Club music celebration meant to inspire collaboration, community, and camaraderie in a time we need it most. We’re bringing artists from all of club music’s most influential cities to give our scenes one night where we can all get together and dance our pain away.
