Since forming in Dunedin in 2017, New Zealand’s Mild Orange have become a band belonging to the world that has built an international following on the back of songs that have unfolded like secrets shared between friends and lovers. Or as Billboard put it, 'Mild Orange have mastered making music for the nostalgic’.
The indie rockers exploded online in 2018 after their independently released debut album, Foreplay, reached every corner of the globe on YouTube, notably with the singles ‘Some Feeling’ and ‘Mysight.' The album was produced and mixed by front man, Josh Mehrtens, who still sits at the helm of carefully producing and crafting the band’s records.
Mild Orange have since become known for their alternative blend of sun-drenched dream pop and psychedelic rock sounds which they bring to their powerful live shows. They are now becoming a mainstay in the indie world with their fierce ambition and drive, having performed in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa – all while remaining independent.
After releasing their third album Looking For Space - which Rolling Stone called ‘the band at their luscious best’ - and selling out headline concerts in renowned venues around the world from NYC, Paris, L.A, Warsaw and beyond, the band relocated to London where they would begin working on their fourth album THE//GLOW.
The//Glow, releasing on 08/08/2025, is split into two parts; one part heartland rock for the glow of the roads less known; and one part late night psych rock for the glow of the city lights.
In Mild Orange, you will find a band who truly live for the love of music.
BOYO began as the dusty bedroom project of Robert Tilden, who released six self-produced albums under the moniker. Gaining a loyal cult fanbase following multiple successful tours, coverage on online publications like 𝘕𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘺, and having a mini-hit with his song "Hit or Miss," Tilden became an indie-rock stalwart. Now, with the addition of drummer Nick Smyrniotis, BOYO's last three albums have become a collaborative effort with more expansive genre and vibe shifts.
