Live in Palm Springs! Hailing from Portland, Oregon, guitarist Will Brahm began his musical journey in earnest the moment he picked up a guitar in eighth grade. What started as a teenage spark quickly ignited into a lifelong passion, leading him to Southern California where he earned a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from Cal State Long Beach, studying under jazz guitar master Ron Escheté. After graduation, Will hit the road with the acclaimed New West Guitar Group, pushing his musical technique and creativity to new levels. In 2019, he released his acoustic ensemble project, “Venture Atlas”, showcasing his compositional voice and genre-blending vision. That same year, he joined the legendary Arturo Sandoval on international tours and was selected as a semifinalist in the 2019 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Guitar Competition, performing for heroes like Pat Metheny—a formative moment in his evolving career. These experiences helped Will unite the many facets of his musical identity—jazz sophistication, rock expression, and cinematic emotion—into a singular sound centered around one iconic instrument: the Fender Stratocaster. His playing draws on the soaring lyricism of Jeff Beck, fused with the lush harmonic landscapes of the Pat Metheny Group. Will’s latest album, “Distance to Empty” (2025), captures this evolution: emotionally resonant, harmonically rich, and deeply personal. Now based in Los Angeles, Will continues to compose, record, and tour regularly—bringing his distinctive voice and virtuosic touch to stages across the globe. 🎠 Welcome to Carousel at the Cascade Lounge!
