**So Perfect**, an alternative rock group based in Toronto, started as a hypothetical band invented one night during a conversation about punk music and childhood. Unbeknownst to the others who were present, singer and guitarist Noah Aviles-Betel took that idea and quietly developed it over ten years. ‘As If…’ is the culmination of that ten year process. Calling upon bassist Alex Kreyssig-Garcia, drummer Reilly Howe, and guitarist/vocalist Jack Paisley, Noah formed So Perfect to execute this longstanding vision: the band you always wished was on your older sibling’s burned CD-R. While ‘As If…’ is largely a faithful execution of Noah’s original vision for the band, there are songs that hint at what So Perfect is growing into. Through time on the road, in the rehearsal room, and in the studio, So Perfect has become a wholly collaborative effort, producing a heavy band with pop sensibilities; a loud and melody-centric blend of sounds from the last 40 years of independent and mainstream music.
