Description
PR x New York Mycological Society present a summer series exploring medicinal mushrooms.
We begin with a conversation in The Nursery featuring Ifetayo Harvey \[Executive Director of POC Psychedelic Collective\] and Eugenia Bone \[author of *Have a Good Trip*\]*.* Our program continues with a myco-meditation session led by Ifetayo Harvey. After, linger in The Garden with the myco-community while you enjoy a restorative mushroom beverage.
Additionally, your ticket grants a chance to win a signed copy of Eurgenia Bone's bestseller, *Have a Good Trip.*
**Program:**
1–3 pm: Conversation with Eugenia Bone and Ifetayo Harvey, author signing of Have a Good Trip, raffle giveaway
Two leading voices in the rapidly evolving cultural space of medicinal mushrooms join us for a wide-ranging discussion. Eugenia Bone is an internationally-recognized popular science writer and author of Have a Good Trip. Ifetayo Harvey is an award-winning author, advocate, and founder of POCPC, an organization bringing psychedelic education to people of color.
3–3:30 pm: Unearthing Mysteries: A Journey into Fungi, Psychedelics, Spirituality, and Culture – Mushrooms as Medicine
Ifetayo Harvey leads an exploration of the spiritual significance of fungi in cultures around the world. After an introduction discussing the evolving landscape of psychedelics through the lens of people of color, she will lead a short energy and mindfulness practice. This 30-minute discussion is for adults and is first come, first served. Please bring your own mats, blankets, and seating \[some yoga mats and chairs for accessibility will be provided\].
3:30–5 pm: Garden Gathering
Enjoy mushroom foods and beverages, chat with myco-cultivators, and learn from experts from the New York Mycological Society.
