w/ Ribbon Skirt
Wombo
Wombo is the Louisville-bred art-rock trio of Sydney Chadwick (vocals / bass), Cameron Lowe (guitar), and Joel Taylor (drums). Since forming in 2016, Wombo have crafted 2 LPs and 3 extended plays that twist post-punk structures into uncanny shapes, toured around the world, and gained praise from Pitchfork, The Fader, CLASH, and more.
Drawing inspiration from invented fantasies as much as reality’s own absurdities, the “subtle surrealism” (FLOOD) of Wombo’s take on indie rock is often thrilling, always fresh, and ever-so catchy. Their distinct combination of “droning guitars, frenetic chords, and angular melodies” (UPROXX) have earned Wombo a dedicated fanbase, eager to see which direction the trio heads next.
Ribbon Skirt
Ribbon Skirt is a Montreal-based post-punk band led by Anishinaabe musician Tashiina Buswa and lead guitarist Billy Riley. The band released their debut album, Bite Down, on Mint Records in April 2025. Produced by Scott Munro (Preoccupations) and mixed by Greg Saunier (Deerhoof), the album marks a shift toward a darker, more introspective sound, exploring themes of memory, grief, and Buswa’s connection to her Indigenous identity and cultural practices.
Ribbon Skirt has performed at major festivals across North America, including SXSW, New Colossus, Sled Island, Sappyfest, and Pop Montreal, sharing the stage with artists like Dehd, Ombiigizi, Packs, Wombo, Marnie Stern, Enumclaw, and Chad VanGaalen.
