Description
From late-night desert drives to the dusty trails that seem to stretch into eternity, Dominique and the Diamonds capture the rawness of country music that’s as untamed as the California wilderness itself. With a voice, powerful and raw, Colombian-American front woman Dominique Gomez carries the grit of the open range, while her Diamonds channel the soul of classic country.
Recorded using a mixture of analog and digital equipment, their self-titled debut EP rings true to the golden age of country, all the while tying in the experiences of today’s world. With Gomez’s often compared tone to the likes of Linda Ronstadt and the band’s affinity for The Flying Burrito Brothers, Dillard & Clark and 60’s/70’s acts alike, Dominique and the Diamonds blend the right amount of contemporary feel to the nostalgia of country music.
Rae Isla is an independent American singer-songwriter from Bainbridge Island, WA, now based in Los Angeles. Drawing from her early years playing classical cello, learning piano and guitar as a teenager, and attending Berklee College of Music on a vocal scholarship, Rae weaves together a unique blend of folk, indie rock, and alt-country influences to create lush, evocative songs. Her 2021 debut album, Another Life, garnered critical acclaim with features in Rolling Stone and Billboard, and charted #27 on NACC radio. Her newly released sophomore album, New Frontier marks an evolution in her artistry with fan favorites like "Miles and Miles" and "Stones". Known as a “traveling bard,” Rae’s live performances are both intimate and immersive, sharing fantastical stories from the road and creating a communal experience that breaks down the barrier between artist and audience. Rae Isla kicked off 2025 with a twang, releasing her new Lawrence Rothman-produced and Pete Lyman-mastered song "Years Beers Her Tears", out now.
