On February 28th, 2025, unionzed workers at the 444 Broadway Starbucks location unanimously signed and presented a petition to management in an effort to improve health and safety at their store. Management did not meet these demands, and workers took action by walking out for a one day strike on March 11th. Since then, management has unjustly fired five pro-union workers in clear retaliation, and has threatened several others with spurious investigations.
