Description
In 2024, the beloved art and music festival Zipang brought its remarkable 10-year run to a close. But its legacy lives on through Japonism, a party launched in 2020 by Zipang’s producer with the goal of bridging the party scenes of Japan and Asia. Originally born in Da Nang, Vietnam, Japonism has invited some of Japan’s most respected underground artists—Gonno, Chida, Shhhhh, Akiram En, and suimin, among others—helping to build a cultural bridge between Japan and Vietnam.
In 2023, Japonism welcomed DJ/producer Yuta, the head of Japan’s leading psychedelic techno label Liquid Drop Groove, as its new resident. Now, in early summer 2025, Japonism returns to Japan with a fresh concept:
“Creating new value through the music exchange.”
For this edition, Japonism joins forces with Vietnam’s two most iconic clubs—Savage in Hanoi and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City—as well as leading party collective Studio Adventure. The collaboration spans three unique venues: Dommune (Wed 6/4), Womb (Fri 6/6), and the outdoor gathering Utopia in Nasu (Sat–Sun 6/7–8).
