Für diese Ausgabe von YOUR LOVE haben Lakuti und Tama Sumo zwei brasilianische DJs aus Belo Horizonte eingeladen. Trotz seiner Hörbehinderung begann Kabulom aufzulegen und wurde Mitbegründer der Reihe TUMULTO, die sich explizit mit Schwarzer Perspektive in der Clubkultur auseinandersetzt. Sein Stil wurde durch die Beschäftigung mit Amapiano, Kwaito und anderen südafrikanischen Clubstilen stark geprägt. OMOLOKO ist Mitbegründer der Veranstaltungsreihe 101Ø und legt regelmäßig in europäischen Clubs und auf Festivals auf. Seine Sets sind von brasilianischen und afrikanischen Einflüssen geprägt, greifen aber auch auf House, Techno und Disco zurück. Gemeinsam betreiben die beiden das Projekt Mathosa, eine Plattform für Clubmusik, die den Blick auf Geschichte, Migration und kulturelle Identität richtet. Kabulom spielt diesen Gig im Rahmen seiner ersten Tour durch Europa. For this edition of their series Your Love, Lakuti and Tama Sumo have invited two Brazilian DJs from Belo Horizonte. Despite having a hearing impairment, Kabulom began DJing and co-founded the club night TUMULTO, which explicitly explores Black perspectives in club culture. His style has been strongly influenced by his exposure to amapiano, kwaito and other South African club styles. DJ Omoloko is co-founder of the series 101Ø and regularly plays at European clubs and festivals. Characterized by Brazilian and African influences, his sets also draw on house, techno and disco. Together, they run Mathosa, a platform for club music that focuses on history, migration and cultural identity. Kabulom's appearance tonight is part of his first European tour.
