“Odd Soul” is a global dance music party curated by the members of Keys N Krates. They hand pick artists to create a lineup that brings good music and good vibes to an inclusive group of people who want to dance and party all night long. Known for their idiosyncratic and organic sample-driven approach to dance music, Keys N Krates continues to evolve as artists and producers. The Toronto-based trio, made up of Adam Tune, David Matisse, and Greg Dawson, began as a live act that would flip popular hip-hop and dance music tunes. The trio then decided they wanted to create their own music and found success with their breakout single Dum Dee Dum, a song that became an anthem of the subgenre of instrumental trap music. Their affinity for flipping off-kilter samples and writing fun dance floor songs didn’t stop there. They continued to evolve their style over the years, injecting more of their childhood influences into their music until finally arriving at making house music from their perspective, which is influenced by hip hop, tribal rhythms, 90’s house music, RnB, and 70’s disco and soul. Xica (chee-kuh) Soul is a Los Angeles-based DJ known for her magnetic presence on the decks that transcends boundaries of genre. Her sound is defined by artful blends of sultry rhythms, fierce thumpers, and dreamy nostalgia that create an undeniable energy on the dance floor. Xica’s diverse taste is ever changing, shifting through sounds with real dynamism, but yet always guiding her audience to unexpected and captivating musical spaces. Xica is an established presence in the local Los Angeles scene, but she is no stranger to stages globally — she has played Boiler Room in Los Angeles, Good Room in New York, Multi Multi Festival in London, Sunday Sunday in Mexico City, and many more. Her monthly dublab radio show, SoundProof, is a platform for sonic exploration and discovery, where her passionate musical voice shines through.
