About Marky Ramone Plays the Ramones
Website | Facebook | Instagram | X (Twitter) | YouTube | Spotify
Marky Ramone is best known for the 15 years he spent drumming for the legendary Ramones. Prior to joining the Ramones, Marky played with an array of influential musicians dating back to his high school years when he was a member of the Brooklyn based hard rock band, Dust. Recording two albums with his friends, Richie Wise (guitar and vocals) and Kenny Aaronson (bass) for Neil Bogart’s Karma Sutra/Buddha label
While Dust was disbanding, Marky began hanging out at Max’s Kansas City, where he met Max’s house D.J. Wayne County. He joined forces with Wayne to form Wayne County and The Backstreet Boys. Wayne’s outrageous stage performance and cross-dressing attracted many fans and help solidify a cult following. After a year and a half of playing in the New York area and not able to generate record company interest, they decided it was best to move on.
About Jersey Calling
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Jersey Calling was formed in 2002 by core members Randy Ballinger, Josh Kates, and Sean Breslin. After building a loyal cult following playing church basements, VFW Halls, and legendary punk clubs like CBGB, the band took a hiatus in 2005.
In 2020, Jersey Calling regrouped with co-lead singer Victoria Maffei-Kates for their third album, Punk Rock Retirement. The album proved that even after years away from the scene, the band continues to offer all the Pop-Punk hallmarks that helped build their fanbase: catchy riffs accompanied by driving bass lines and backbeats, singers whose voices resemble punk giants of the 1990s, and a passion to deliver anthem after anthem during their energetic live performances.
Jersey Calling doesn’t rest on their laurels either. They continue to refine their songwriting skills as displayed on their latest album, Parasocial Security. Immediately following the recording of this album, drummer John Vouras joined their ranks, adding to the dynamics and energy of their sound and live performances.
