Every June, the festivities take over Brazil with forró music, quadrilha dances, bonfires, traditional foods, costumes, and cultural rituals. Now, Group Dot BR, New York’s only Brazilian theater company, brings this iconic celebration to life with Opa! Festa Junina—an immersive 8-hour event full of music, dance, performances, art and delicious food. Oh—and did we mention a bit of a theatrical dispute brewing?
