Sam Babayan & the Dirty Diamond

There’s an undeniable sense of empowerment and inspiration in the music of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Sam Babayan, whose sound offers a form of healing. With every track, Babayan effortlessly combines a vibrant fusion of blues and psychedelic melodic rock with the deep ancient soul of his Armenian heritage. The result is a sonic experience best reflected by the titles of his upcoming double LPs with his band, The Dirty Diamond: “From the Stars”, an electrifying album that radiates with the intense energy of solar flares and 60s Marshall stacks, and “To the Stars”, a more intimate, acoustic collection that feels like being part of a private fireside gathering with close friends. Exploring everything from ego dissolution to the finality of death, Babayan gently yet powerfully guides listeners on a journey through the cosmos and the depths of consciousness.
Alongside The Dirty Diamond, Sam Babayan has earned a reputation for crafting engaging, heartfelt music that resonates across a broad spectrum of listeners.
On Friday, June 6th, Sam Babayan & The Dirty Diamond will release a new single and music video titled "Sea Of Stars", just in time for their headlining performance at Troubadour. To support the event, all ticket sales will go toward ongoing relief efforts for those impacted by the recent fires in Los Angeles.
State to State (reunion show)

Hailed as the Los Angeles flag bearers of atmospheric alternative rock, a landscape forged by such bands as Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead and Interpol, State To State has been on the Hollywood music scene since 2014 with their acclaimed self-released LP and EP. State to State has supported bills that sold out at the Troubadour and The Roxy as well as residencies at The Hotel Café, The Viper Room and others, which quickly led to dates on the final Warped Tour.
The band also earned the support of legendary Los Angeles rock station KROQ 106.7 FM, who have featured “The Shifter” and “Get Away” on its “Locals Only Countdown" where the songs spent a collective 22 weeks in the top five and were voted #1 a total of seven weeks. This local airplay has even led the way for national and international radio play throughout the U.S. and even breaking the Top 40 in Lima, Peru.
However, the biggest advocate for the band is Kevin Martin of Candlebox who discovered State To State at a KROQ show in Hollywood in 2017 and took the band on tour a few months later “I walked into Lucky Strike in Hollywood and I was immediately floored by the band simply known as State To State,” said Martin. “Their approach to music was something I hadn’t seen in years. It was fresh, unrelenting and all theirs. It’s everything you look for as a fan of music. You get lost in the songs because they’re that good. They grab you and don’t let go and that is exactly what State to State does, they never let you go.”
Now after a 3 year hiatus State to State make their return to the legendary Troubadour in Hollywood, CA on Friday June 6th.
The band has recently wandered back to the comfort and beauty that comes with the common goal to make music their way or not at all. The State to State mission statement is simple "We are a band, We make music. You should listen to it"
Versus the World

Versus the World is a high-energy post-punk act hailing from Santa Barbara, California, originally formed by members of Lagwagon, Good Riddance, and The Ataris. Since their self-titled debut on Kung Fu Records in 2005, the band has fused pop-punk energy, melodic post-hardcore intensity, and the introspective, troubadour-style vocals of founding frontman Donald Spence into a sound that’s both dynamic and deeply personal.
Over the years, Versus the World has evolved into a refined and battle-tested unit, with its current lineup bringing together longtime friends from across California’s punk scene. They’ve toured the world relentlessly, supporting No Use for a Name, The Ataris, Lagwagon, NOFX, and more, while releasing a string of acclaimed albums: Drink.Sing.Live.Love (2012), Homesick/Roadsick (2015), and The Bastards Live Forever (2023).
Now, the band is gearing up for their next chapter, once again enlisting producer Cameron Webb (Bayside, Alkaline Trio, Motörhead) to steer the ship. Their highly anticipated follow-up to The Bastards Live Forever is set for release on SBÄM Records in 2026—stay tuned.
