Zen/Echo showcases the raw creativity and authenticity of New York's music scene, uninfluenced by commercial trends. Join us on Thursday, March 20th for a night of vinyl only event at Public Records Upstairs featuring a journey from dub ambient to 90s trip-hop selected by **Marihito** + **DJ Kumon**. Marihito Japanese-born, Brooklyn-based DJ / producer. He started his music career in 2003 as a downtempo breakbeat producer. After a hiatus, Marihito reignited his live performance and DJ career in 2024, spurred by the release of his latest album "Music for Joshua Tree" and now curates the Zen/Echo ambient and dub techno event in NYC. DJ Kumon One of the more esoteric aliases under Isaiah Buford's esoe/Hotel E umbrella. DJ kumon specializes in mending electro-acoustic soundscapes, dub, and core elements of early '90s ambient techno into compositions that explore the corners of Kumons' sci-fi-tinted universe. \- Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
