Originally from Fayetteville, NC, Lee grew up singing with her siblings and performing in theater productions. Her Puerto Rican-Dominican and African American heritage exposed her to a wealth of music genres from a young age, which inspired her to share her experiences through music. She wrote her first song at 10 years old when she was backstage at The Lion King on Broadway, in which she played the role of Young Nala. Since then, she most notably appeared on American Idol and continued to develop as a singer/songwriter until deciding to take some time to learn more about herself and her relationship with Christ.
