Description
Hadone returns for FIST. The French producer rides a fine line, balancing raw grit with moments of startling drama. His very recent release “Empathy Under Review” for Clergy sees Hadone in peak form, concocting a feverish swirl of sprawling textures atop an absolutely ruthless foundation of pure, grooving filth. A7A founder Lawrence Lee makes his debut. A prominent voice in the Berlin underground, Lee’s spiraling, driving techno embodies a snarling, jacking power with total conviction. Residents Word of Command and DJ Clone represent the FIST ethos like no other; taut, even feral techno delivered with a truly deviant edge.
JADALAREIGN returns to STUDIO. Over the last few years, she has earned international respect for her singular approach to house music. The raw and the sensual interweave in JADA’s sets, which draw on overlapping Black lineages and crosscurrents of “deepness” with a near-psychedelic degree of vividness. JADA’s sets undulate with uncanny memories, dreamy logic and a sense of unvarnished honesty that’s frankly riveting. Boston’s Mx. Blaire makes her debut. The driving force behind Boston’s Boudoir party series, Mx. Blaire fearlessly tackles bubbly bass, pumped up rave kineticism and saucy house. Alexis De La Rosa’s music ranges from the darkly evocative to the fully in-your-face. His “Echoes of Yesterday” mix series journeys from moments of syrupy dub undertow to steamy disco, dreamy reggaeton and livewire modern club. At every turn, though, De La Rosa’s vision comes to life.
