HOT JAW
Hot Jaw is a rock band founded by best friends Esme Hart (lead vocals) and Parisa Boroujeni (lead guitar), with Theo Caplan (bass) and John Deeney (drums). Nostalgic, flamboyant, introspective, their music draws upon indie and seventies rock. Hot Jaw’s music is glued together by assertive melodies, lyrical warmth and the occasional harmonic gear shift.
MARSUPIAL SOUP
Marsupial Soup offer a simmering broth of upbeat tropical pop, with inflections of bossa nova and jangly indie zeal. Haling originally from the sunny shores of South Wales, and now scattered all over the place, the boys' have a tongue-in-cheek take on lackadaisical indie music with an eye for the absurd. Recent tracks touch on topics like the mundanity of office culture and the fleetingness of holiday romance, usually replete with watery, chorus-laden guitars and lo-fi, Latin-(ish) beats. With a slot at Isle of Wight Festival and radio play on BBC Radio 6 under their belt, they're keen on spreading the flavour wherever the wind takes them.
