A parallel interest in Motown, funk and disco, saw an incipient DJ careerblossom, fused with the world of dance music as Frankie Knuckles,M.A.W ,Kenny Dope andDavid Morales flowed from Nissan’s artistic imagination behind the decks.Early work signed to ALOLA, Addictive Records and Josecki’s MicasaRecordings,Nissan’sstraight-up househelped pave the way for a shift in musical direction later. Taking a hiatus fromthe visible face of the electronic music industry in2011, Nissan became a much sought afterstudio producer, working with some of theleading artistsin the Israeli scene and creatingnumerous albums and projectsen route.However, the lure of the dance music industryprovedtoohard to resist and 2015 saw the returnof Eli Nissan to the underground dance fraternity with DJ performances across his Tel Avivhometown and a move back into the studio to work, once more, under his own name. A deep house musical triptych for Plattenbankin December 2015 wasan opening salvo in an ever-growing arsenal as MNL, Stripped, and Movement Recordings haveall showcased Nissan’s work in 2016.
