Halle’s debut album, Forever From You, was crowdfunded via social media and independently recorded in Nashville and London. After three years of cutting her teeth as a songwriter in Nashville, Halle moved to London last January, a perfect time to move to London. She wasn’t depressed or crashing out at all. Influenced by iconic songwriters like Fiona Apple, Alanis Morisette, and Adrienne Lenker, Halle is a deep feeler whose poetry and songwriting are full of wit, heart, and a persistent search for silver linings (in the sh\*tstorm that has been her last year and a half). She’s gained traction on social media for her uplifting and “hopecore” perspective, music, and poetry, drawing in hundreds of thousands of monthly viewers on Instagram and Tiktok. The album opens with sensitive, midnight confessions to a lover, moves through heartache and the end of a loving relationship, and ends with a bang – lead pop-rock singles Messy Hot Girl Summer and Let Yourself Out (“Good Luck Babe” meets “Good 4 U”) push her sound into an ambitious new space, showcasing hat Halle really got her heart broken and had to write an angry song or she was going to go to jail. Notable co-writers and producers on the album include staples of the Nashville indie scene — Bedon, Lo Noom, Doc. Henry — and London musicians Joss Mogli, Phoebe Axa, and Millie Turner.
