“I’ve got good news. That gum you like is going to come back in style.” Built in the image of David Lynch, Club Silencio operates on its own schedule, on its own plane. After making its initial debut in June 2017 following The Return, the band felt it was time for a return of their own. Playing music from Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Inland Empire, and, of course, Twin Peaks, the band balances in the precarious space between tangible and surreal, between lucid and dreaming. Lynch held Americana in an authentic space—his work was never intended to include even a hint of irony. Yet, he was unafraid sought to it from every angle, even if that vision included the darker underside. It isn’t really subversion if is still the truth, after all.
