Etix is the official ticketing source and partner of TOC Portland.International solo concert pianist Shake Tadevosyan brings her considerable classical piano skills to Portland for the first time! Known for her graceful finesse, dynamism, and lyrical style, Shake will perform an inspiring program of classical pieces by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, and Brahms, as well as by the contemporary Armenian composer Edvard Mirzoyan. Shake was born in 1975, in Yerevan, Armenia, and graduated from the Yerevan State Conservatory (Komitas). She went on to receive several international prizes in classical piano performance. In 1993, she was a graduate of the Amadeus International Competition. In 1998 she took second prize at the International J.S. Bach Competition held in Paris, France. In 2000 she took the special prize for best piano concert performance at the Pier Lantie International Competition. Currently, Shake performs internationally and is a lecturer at the Yerevan State Conservatory (Komitas) and Armenian State Pedagogical University (Kh. Abovyan). She has had solo concerts in Armenia, Russia, France and Austria.
