D.E.L.S. is Doka Studio’s monthly electronic live music gathering, presenting a wide array of forward thinking performers with a passion for improvisation. Expect a meandering flow between sound-scapes and dance-floor aesthetics on a background of visual experiments in an intimate, early evening setting. Marijn S’ performance radiates rawness & tranquility, evoking a sense of familiarity. Yet, her artistry thrives on the tension between light and shadow, simplicity and chaos. Communicating with her machine as a vessel of self expression, Marijn invites us to pause and connect to the beauty of the Machinedrum. Thym Flies makes his live debut with a set that embraces ambiences and the organic generation of sounds and themes. His performance based on unexpected drums, cosmic samples and classic synths will be co-improvised by the plants in the room through a plantwave device. As per tradition, Julien Chaptal will introduce the evening with the pulses of electronics, tuning into the movements of micro organisms collected in Amsterdam, on the day of the event.
